Water Frame

Seriously, I've been working on this water style and I really like it, so I've used it on a round stain-like image I had. See if you like it.

Coolest Dad Polaroid

I hope you had a great weekend.
To prepare for Father's day coming up I worked on this polaroid frame. I just made a 6x6" white square, then took out the inside square a bit off to the right side. Then I got a cool shape: sunglasses, and positioned it on top of the white square. Then I removed from the frame what I wanted to be seen on it, the majority of the sunglasses. When I had what I wanted I clicked on both layers and did Control + E and merged the layers.
I then used font Stamp Act and wrote "Coolest Dad" vertically, and "Ever!" horizontally. Because they were not in the same layer, I merged them and then merged them to the polaroid, then I rasterized the font, or I can't do anything with it. I then used the Magic Wand to select all the letters (click on a letter, then click Select: Similar) and Control + X.
You get the two stylized polaroids I made, plus the blank original, so you can use any style you have on your computer.

Happy Mother's Day

This is a cute frame I decided to use for Mother's day that's coming up quick.
Nothing fancy, it just looks great. The whole thing is one .png file, 300 dpi, with some shadows.
I used font Dragonwick, which I really like. A lot. :)

Clear Frame with Yellow Elements

Hi! Hope you had a nice weekend.
I have for your consideration a frame that I turned clear. I added all the elements, mostly in yellow, and then added the goose. Maybe you'd wonder why? I thought, why not?
It's a .png file, 300 dpi, about 8x8" with some shadows (the frame doesn't have a shadow).

Clipboard Template

This is just a clever idea to display a special picture. I keep using the same one of the raft in the middle of the ocean, it's just something that appeals to me, I don't even know where the place is. :)
So, with this freebie you get the base of the clipboard, the clip and the same picture frame I gave as a freebie before. Nothing fancy. I added the words just to give an idea, but you can do whatever. Since everything is in its own layer, you can turn things around, change sizes and stuff

Cherries on Bow and Sticker

Two Flower Borders

These two turned out great. I was working on patterns and this flower just jumped at me, so I made three different size patterns with it (sm, med, lg). When I was filling a 12x12 size page I realized I could erase the inside and turn it into a frame or border. After that, I just added two different styles, and voila! you have these.

Irish Sampler

Since I didn't post anything over the weekend, and the Easter season will be short this year, I'm hurrying getting out some Irish stuff before moving on.
This one is, maybe, something more popular. I put together the clover paper with a clip art I had, set it as a pattern and then use it to make the border, frame (action by Delicious Scraps) and brad (action by Atomic Cupcake).

Green Frame Cluster

Hi!
Since Spring is almost here, at least temps are getting higher and the snow is receding, I thought something flowery would work for today's freebie.
It took me a while to decide, I tried a bunch of different papers on the square frame, but after I found the flower I chose a crumpled paper and copied (colorized) the green of the leaves, then I used it as a mask (Ctrl + G) over the generic frame. I placed the flower and leaves on the frame, then I added the bow and wrap I had from another design and colored it by copying the flower center.
The frame doesn't have a shadow, but the flower, bow and wrap do. Just a little shadow.

Green Round Frame + Bow

I thought that maybe a round frame would look cool. Used a scalloped shape I had and added a ribbon bow matching the color. If you want to add some leprechauns or clover, it can be turned into a St Patrick's day frame.
The design is 300 dpi, .png file and no shadows.

You and Me

This one was done with a heart shape that I used for the frame. I applied a chrome style on it. Same thing with the couple shape, first a stroke style to get just the silhouette, then a metal style.
The You is done with font Bernhard Modern. I applied a stroke style in cobalt blue.
The ampersand (&) I liked was in the Anglican font but took out the dot. It has the same chrome style as the frame.
The Me was done in font Carlotta, with an orange stroke style applied to it.
I put a soft gradient background. I added a heart shape inside the 'o' and applied a multicolor style.
I wanted to show a difference between the fonts: a strong one and a soft and rounded one. I also wanted to have an 'M' that would hook onto the ampersand.

Mardi Gras Frame

Hello and I must apologize. Sometimes life comes at you like a freight train, sometimes you can dodge it and sometimes it just hits you and you have to get up, pick up the pieces and just keep going.
I've designed this frame for Mardi Gras. I used a square shape for the frame. I have a MeOhMy action that makes the mask, and I added the feathers from Scraps and Tubes. I made a pattern: dark pink (mauve?) dots on a green (hunter?) background, merged them together and saved it in patterns, I knew I'd needed later for the beads.
The beads came from an action from Marbled Circle, Curved Beads. At some point it asks you for a pattern and I didn't have anything matching those colors.
The frame is about 5"x5", 300 dpi, some shadows.

Stamp Frame

Hey!
This freebie I made thinking it could be used as a frame, so I added a heart shape that has xoxo on it. I also added another heart with just swirls. And a couple shape.
I made the frame out of a stamp shape and cut out the inside. I added a white bevel to it, so it doesn't look just like a cut out.
I duplicated the original stamp shape and put it in another layer. Turned it black and used Gaussian blur (11.5) to make it look like a shadow. I moved it around until it was visible only on the right side and bottom. I stretched a little bit the lower right corner on the shadow layer, and pushed it in a bit on the stamp layer.
Then I added the chartreuse layer so you could see the couple shape, otherwise it's invisible with the shadow background. I applied a stroke style to the couple, so you only see the thin line around it. If you do Ctrl + U on the shape, hit colorize and start playing with the levels you can change its color. Try it!
The two hearts can be used as seals on the frame, or anyway you'd like to used them in your layout. They have a white puffy style on them.
Since all of them are in their own separate layer, you can hide the elements you don't like in your frame.

I ♥ U Frame

Hi!
This frame was so easy to make.
You get a square black frame. Find the font that you like the best. I used Blackoak Std font, and added two shapes: the heart and lips. And then merged all together.
You get the template to use with other styles that you may have, and three more samples: red stroke, pink plastic and purple glitter.

DOWNLOAD

Just open one of the frames and put a picture or whatever you need under the layer that has the frame. With the eraser tool, get rid of the parts of the picture you don't want. Then highlight both layers and do Control + E and you've merged them together.
These are about 4" to the square, 300 dpi, no shadows.

Frosted Fun

Well, I had one of those days where you want to do something, your brain tells you what to do and the end result is something totally different from where you started.
I had this picture of frost on a window, and I wanted to take out some of the frost in the center and keep the rest on the outside of the page. I was making a 12x12 paper. When I was done I did not like what I had, it was so dull and uninspiring. So I went in another direction and cut the paper in three different ways and applied an ice style over all of them. Ta-dah! Frames!
Then I realized that what was left from cutting the round frame looked pretty good to pass as corners, so I included them in here too. The corners don't look perfect, but who is? I see some character in them by looking a bit chipped. I think the end result far exceeded my expectations.
The square frame is 6x6", the round is the same in diameter, the rectangular is 4x6".
