Joseph & Mary + Town

Today's freebie has two clip art pieces. With them, you can make your own page by adding a paper that you like as a background, and then placing the clip art anywhere you like.
At the last minute I added the scripture (revised). It was too long to fit, so I shortened it. Sorry if you wanted it all. You don't have to use it if you don't like it. :o)
Hope you can use it!
Patricia.
PS: 300 dpi, no shadows.

Part two of the Alpha Thanksgiving. Each file is 300 dpi, with no shadows.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Patricia.

Thanks for the Alpha! A-D

Hi! I'm posting in this and several other posts an alpha that I'd like to call Alpha Thanksgiving, just because the colors are pretty and fit the holiday.
Because the file will be big, I'm going to split the alpha into different installments. Two posts today, two on Monday, two on Tuesday and one with just numbers on Wednesday and it will be done. It's just uppercase and numbers.
Hope you like it.
Patricia.

Just a Tag, or Is It?

So sorry about the time off.
Today I have for you a simple tag. I can have different uses: as a single item, used to show a thought or idea, or as a multiple item, where you print a single letter in each one (ex: SALE, LOVE, etc).
I'm sure you'll do wonders with it.

Another Graveyard

How many do we need, right? This one I was just going to turn into an overlay when I decided to use a grungy type style on the clip art. Then I wrote 'Happy Halloween' with the Horizontal Mask tool and took the letters out of the picture. This is the result.
This is a 12x12" page, 300 dpi, no shadows. You can add your own background paper.
Have a great Halloween!
Patricia.

Web and Spider

I was just going to make this into an overlay. I had the clip art, all black and white. Then I added a semi-clear style and liked it so much better than the original.
You can use it in front (top) of another page and it looks nice. You can 'hang' things or phrases from it. Just use your imagination.
It's a 12x12" page, 300 dpi, no shadows.
Patricia.

Graveyard

This freebie was put together with different images. Some are clip art, some are shapes.
I added a background, and turned the images into a screen, with 95% opacity.
This is a full 12x12" page, 300 dpi.

I hope it's useful!
Patricia.
PS: have a nice weekend. It snowed like crazy here yesterday. Since it doesn't snow (usually) like that before Halloween, I wonder if it's predicting how the rest of the season is going to go.

Owl on Tree Overlay

This freebie is also a 12x12" overlay.
You can use it as a background, with another page under it, if you like.
It's 3600x3600, 300 dpi, no shadows.
Enjoy!

Fall Tree

Dear friends, I've been so preocupied with life that I was just doing fall things without realizing that Halloween is almost here. Maybe it's because I don't care much for Halloween.
In any case, I made this 12x12 overlay that you can use for fall or Halloween.
There's more coming, now that I'm on top of things again.
As I said, it's 3600x3600, 300 dpi, no shadows.
Enjoy!
Patricia.

#1 Teacher on a Lid

Just to make it different, I put a phrase on the same lid as the post prior to this one.
Because it's mostly lines, I turned the "#1 Teacher" into a sticker by adding a white border.
The file is about 6" around. 300 dpi. No shadows.
Patricia.

Fall on a Lid

I've done this before, where I used bottle caps to display clip art or other stuff.
This time I took a picture of one of those Bell jar lids (since I've been bottling things I grew during summer). Looking at one of the lids one day I thought I could do something with it.
So here it is:
As you can clearly see, the final result is not the same as the original. Simply because I played a little with the picture.
First I went to the clip art layer and instead of an overlay, I used soft light, 85%. I still didn't like it, so I used the magic wand to choose some areas and used stroke 5p to make stronger lines. After that I wrote 'Fall' and used a gold style to bring it out. The final 'lid' is about 6" in diameter. 300 dpi. No shadows.
Have fun!
Patricia.
PS: I've made others using this same method. I'll share them later.

Pine Shapes

Today's freebie is a bunch of different shapes that you may be able to use in a layout. I used Marbled Circle's Painted Pine action on shapes I had.
I will upload a .psd file, so all the shapes will be in their own layer. They're 300 dpi, shadow free.
Have a great day!
Patricia.

I think it's cute. What do you think? Post in comments. Thanks!

Cow Frame, Wrap & Bow

Today I have a cool freebie.
I used Rosalie Arpado's Wrap and Bow action and used a paper with a cowhide design that I really like.
Here's the frame and wrap.
I also made an alphabet with the same design. The alphabet is for sale at $1.50.
If you'd like to purchase the alphabet, please click down below.
This alphabet has Upper, Lower, Numbers and Symbols. I used Kristen font . 300 dpi. No shadows. 90 elements. Looks cool, huh?
The link will take you to the Paypal site. After purchase, click on the 'Go Back to LuvDigiScraps' and you'll be redirected to another area where you'll be able to download the alphabet. Remember this is a DIGITAL download. Once the file opens you should save it in a folder in your computer.
Ask me any questions. Thanks!
Patricia.

Pencil Sharpener Template

Since I think we can still go on doing back to school items, I present to you a pencil sharpener template.
With this, you'll be able to change the color to any theme you're scrapping. All you have to do is C+U and you'll get the palette and change the color.
Since you're getting a .psd file that's been zipped, first unzip the file. You'll find there are two layers in the file: plastic and blade. The blade remains silver/chrome color, and you just color the plastic portion. However, if you want to change the blade's color, that's totally up to you. :o)
Have fun scrapping!

Clouds

Hi. I fell in love with clouds as a child, I believe.
As an adult, I'm always taking pictures of clouds and the beautiful azure sky. Even my wedding colors reflected these colors. I see purity and maybe the unattainable there. I don't know, just like them.
Recently my hubs and I took a trip to Las Vegas for our 25th wedding anniversary (I know, crazy!) and I took more pictures to add to my collection.
I made some 12x12 papers of clouds and I'm releasing them to you. One is a full paper, the other is an overlay. As always, they are for Personal Use only, and thanks for not using them for your profit.
As usual, the file contains items at 300 dpi. This time I'm zipping it, but you get a .psd file with two items.
Enjoy and keep scrapping!
Patricia.

Backpack Elements

Hi! Today is the first day of back to school for the kids in our area. So, I decided to deconstruct a backpack, so you can colorize it any way you want.
This way, you can turn it from this:
Into this:

All you will need are the following elements:

I split the original clip art into 5 different elements: the shape (you can also use it as a stamp), color 1, color 2, color 3 and zipper. The backpack clip art is common domain.
The file is a zipped .psd file, 300 dpi.
You can color each element separately (Ctrl + U) and then position them under (below) the stamp and you'll be set. When you color each element, the highlight will be colored also, just in a lighter shade.
Try it!
Patricia.

Four Frames and Samples

Today I'm giving away four different frames that you can apply styles to. I'm also giving away as freebies a sample of each one with a style already applied to it.
To get the templates, please go:
Have fun creating your own frames!

Buttons & Templates

I'm giving you a few template buttons, and I show you how they look when you apply styles to them.
Some of the buttons came from photos, some from a shape I cut out and then applied bevels to it, and then the style.
I'm also giving you the thread to cover the holes, if you want to do that. You'll just have to colorize the thread with whatever color you want.
Another thing you can do is mask a paper on the button, like I did with two of the stars. If you do that you have to play in the layer window and see if you want to use 'overlay' or something else. It's all about trial and error, sometimes.
Have fun!
Patricia.

8 Brads and a Template

Today's freebie is actually a bunch. I had the template from http://starsunflowerstudio.blogspot.com/. It was a grab file for commercial use. I've modified the template to make it easier for someone that has Elements to use.
To use the template, put the image under the clear round frame, then with your eraser tool take out what you don't want to see, then save as a .png.

The download link will take you to Minus.com, where you can download the file for free, at its original size. If I leave it here you won't get a 300 dpi like it should be. They're 1.25" across.
I hope you can make your own brad with this template (center). Enjoy!
Patricia.

#1 Mom Tag

I thought I might do something with a round tag. I had this round one and decided to give it a texture, so I used a linen paper I got from the now gone Atomic Cupcake, and masked it over the tag (Ctrl + G). Then I colorized it (Ctrl + U). I added a folded ribbon I had and colorized it the same way.
I'm giving you the template for that particular tag plus ribbon, so you can make your own.
Again, you can just add letters, or a picture, or clip art, or decorate it with anythink you already have (buttons, flowers, pearls). The sky's the limit.
I used Ultra font, and gave the letters a foil style effect.

Enjoy!
Patricia.

Watermelon Tag

Here's something that just came together by itself. I wanted to give out a tag, I just didn't know what it would look like. I was going through my styles and decided to use this one I'd made at the beginning of summer.
So, you get a sample and the tag with the ribbon. I used Trinigan font in the sample, but you can add different things to it: a saying, clip art, whatever your heart desires.
I hope you like using this freebie. As always, it's only for personal use. Thanks!
Patricia.

Bottle Caps

I'm sure you've had plenty of these at home:
And maybe you've been inspired to make something like this:
I know. At this point you're saying: "Hey, are you turning this site into a crafting place?"
I'll say 'No, my friend.' What I'm trying to do is show you how to turn this:

Into these:

Cool, no?
The top left I made by just masking a flower picture on the template cap I made.
I got the cap by painstakingly turning the bottle and pulling on it until it came off. I didn't want to ruin the cap. Crazy, I know.
After masking the picture, I went to the layer palette and changed it to hard light, that brought up the colors of the flower. Opacity: 80%
The second one, I pushed Control + U and colourized the cap to a nice chartreuse, then added letters and symbols with my Type tool. I used Ravie and Scrap Cursive fonts. After that, it was easy to use styles on them.
The third one was a clip art I had so I masked it on the template. I changed the layer to an overlay, and 75% opacity, because it was hard to see the cap.
The last one is a jpg picture that I masked like the clip art. Hard light, 75%.
Above you can follow the link and find the template, if you choose to make some of your own. It's about 6" square, 300 dpi. If you do, send me pics and I'll post them here.
Good luck!
Patricia.
