Missing You

For those of you who are missing someone and would like to send them a card, or scrapbook about your relationship, this is the perfect add-on.
There's nothing fancy. I wrote the words and added a soft glass style on them. I added the kiss shape and put it 'inside' the O. I thought about putting a heart shape and ended up going with the round shape to which I added a pink style. The background has a tag shape, with a style that has some bevel to give it some depth, you can only see the shadow, but it's there.

Lao Tzu

I made this one over a year ago. I'm in love with it, the phrase, the look, everything.
I can tell you what I used, but I didn't save the name of the fonts I used. My apologies.
I used the heart circle from Delicious Scraps. I put a gradient circle behind (under) all layers. I added the ribbon bow. I colored everything except the background in a shade of pink.
I applied a sticker style to the Cooper style words and a soft bevel to the script font.
This is about 6" around, 300 dpi, some shadows.

You and Me

This one was done with a heart shape that I used for the frame. I applied a chrome style on it. Same thing with the couple shape, first a stroke style to get just the silhouette, then a metal style.
The You is done with font Bernhard Modern. I applied a stroke style in cobalt blue.
The ampersand (&) I liked was in the Anglican font but took out the dot. It has the same chrome style as the frame.
The Me was done in font Carlotta, with an orange stroke style applied to it.
I put a soft gradient background. I added a heart shape inside the 'o' and applied a multicolor style.
I wanted to show a difference between the fonts: a strong one and a soft and rounded one. I also wanted to have an 'M' that would hook onto the ampersand.

I Love U Forever

Happy Valentine's Day!
I've been so into Valentine's that I forgot about Mardi Gras, so I will post something right after this one.
This is the sweetest design I've made. It has a shape from Delicious Scraps to which I added a soft, gorgeous pink style from Shelby Kate Schmitz. The I and U are done in font Conchoid, and FOREVER is in font DeRoos. I added a soft bevel to that word, so you'll need a colored background to see it best. That's why I added the blue background, which is just for display. The design comes without a background.

Stamp Frame

Hey!
This freebie I made thinking it could be used as a frame, so I added a heart shape that has xoxo on it. I also added another heart with just swirls. And a couple shape.
I made the frame out of a stamp shape and cut out the inside. I added a white bevel to it, so it doesn't look just like a cut out.
I duplicated the original stamp shape and put it in another layer. Turned it black and used Gaussian blur (11.5) to make it look like a shadow. I moved it around until it was visible only on the right side and bottom. I stretched a little bit the lower right corner on the shadow layer, and pushed it in a bit on the stamp layer.
Then I added the chartreuse layer so you could see the couple shape, otherwise it's invisible with the shadow background. I applied a stroke style to the couple, so you only see the thin line around it. If you do Ctrl + U on the shape, hit colorize and start playing with the levels you can change its color. Try it!
The two hearts can be used as seals on the frame, or anyway you'd like to used them in your layout. They have a white puffy style on them.
Since all of them are in their own separate layer, you can hide the elements you don't like in your frame.

February Border

This one has a bunch of stuff in it.
I first made the swirl out of a shape. It was more involved than what you see, I took out some swirls that were in the way. Then I typed February in Chunky Times font. I put every single letter in its own layer, then arranged them to follow the swirl. When I liked what I saw I merged the word layers together. Each one got their own style. I think they're from Shelby Kate Schmitz at About.com. I used one of her Pink or Valentine's styles.
I added the hearts from a template by Delicious Scraps. I put the hearts on the background, but I wanted the letters to be surrounded by hearts, so I put the same hearts on top (above) all layers. I gave each layer of hearts a different style. The ones you see have a soft, pink style. You don't see much the ones on top, because they have like a glossy, almost transparent look that you only see if you look at the word 'February.' I added the lips (shape) and put on a plastic red style on them, placed it inside the heart. I could've gone and added more stuff to it, but I thought that maybe you'd want to add tags 'hanging' from the loops, or other things, so I left room for that.
I added the black only for display. It comes with a blank background. Since this is a border, it's about 4.5" x 11". 300 dpi, .png file, some shadows.

Hello!
The big day is coming up!
This design was done starting with a rectangle piece of 'paper.' I put a gradient on it. For the words I used font Carlotta. I added a swirl and replaced what looked like flowers for the hearts and merged them. Then I added the butterfly. They all have the same style on, just a white beveled type, that makes them jump out of the page.
In CS5 I doubled up the background page, turned it black, gave it a Gaussian blur (11). Then went to Transform and started stretching the corners and pushing in the middles on all 4 sides. Not bad, huh?

I ♥ U Frame

Hi!
This frame was so easy to make.
You get a square black frame. Find the font that you like the best. I used Blackoak Std font, and added two shapes: the heart and lips. And then merged all together.
You get the template to use with other styles that you may have, and three more samples: red stroke, pink plastic and purple glitter.

DOWNLOAD

Just open one of the frames and put a picture or whatever you need under the layer that has the frame. With the eraser tool, get rid of the parts of the picture you don't want. Then highlight both layers and do Control + E and you've merged them together.
These are about 4" to the square, 300 dpi, no shadows.

Mother Teresa

Hello there!
Mother Teresa was a fascinating woman. There are so many quotes that can be used, I just like this one.
I had a picture of her in b&w, so I used a filter: note paper. After that I just added the words using fonts Edda and Dingle Berry.
Then I used a stamp template for the shape and added a stamp brush. Simple.

I Love Summer

And who doesn't?
I worked on a common phrase that can be used in any summer layout.
For the clothespins and tags I used Zaza's clothespins template (http://scrapandtubes.blogspot.com).
I colored the pins and the rope (everything comes greyed out). I cleared out the letters from each tag, then I put a soft overlay on each one (sand) and gave it the aqua color.
I typed the letter I in Venezio font. Added the heart clip art and gave both the red blacklined style. If you don't have it, just colour your letter and/or clip art in the color you want (ctrl +U) and then give it a black stroke, size 4. Add some shadow.
I then added the cute flip flop charm and copied it 5 times more, one for each tag. I got the charms from AtomicCupcake.com, who's now has closed shop.
Everything is about 3x6 in, a .png file.

A Dad Is...

I just love this phrase, since today's Father's day I'll post it.
I didn't do much to it. I cut the shape with the dad and baby and added a gold & white type style.
To the letters I added a silver style and because I couldn't see them very well, I added a bevel on top of that.
I used Niederwald font.
