Summer is Here

It seems that summer is going to reign forever. But it's going out soon, even if the signs are not there yet.
I made these two signs using Flavors font, which is good for commercial use. I try to find fonts that are good looking and are not some you'll find in just anyone's computer.
I added a water style and this is done.
The flower I got from a shape collection.

Go Team USA

I've been slow to do anything. Here. Anywhere. The Olympics are taking my time. I love watching them!
In any case, today's freebie is an offering to this summer's games.
The ribbon and bow were just grey, so I masked an American flag paper I had over them.
The heart I made from a shape. Doubled up the shape, used different styles in each portion. Cool, right?
The phrase is done with Goudy Stout font. Then I applied a glassy style on it.

3 in 1 Frame + splash

I have these 3 frames that I put together as one. The picture doesn't come in the file.
If you'd like to know how to do it yourself, check for instructions to a similar project here.

To put a picture inside, position your picture behind the frame (below) and using your Magic Wand tool  and while holding down the Alt key click everywhere you want to keep: frame and inside of frame.  Then go Select and choose Inverse. On the layers panel select the picture layer.Then click on Control and X. That should take wipe out all that's outside of the frame, leaving just the frame and your picture. Select both layers and Control +E, if you want to merge them together. Save your picture & frame with a new name.

Cute Bows

I have four cute bows for you today.
They are all different shapes and sizes.
I used digital paper templates I had on hand, that I colorized in different shades.

Single Stack

My offer today is a single frame stack.
As with the one before, all you have to do is position the picture on top (above) the frame and then play with the Move tool settings until the borders match. Duplicate your picture and position it under the first frame, above the second in the layers window and play again with the settings. Same with the 3rd frame.
This is a .psd file for a 4x6 frame, 300 dpi, shadows included, but you can change that.

2 Round Frames

I'm offering two cute frames today.
It's all done with shapes and styles.
A round off-set shape for the frame, to which I applied two different styles, and the flower and branches. Also, I added some jewels I had laying around. :o)
As usual, they're for your personal use in your scrapbooking, digital scrapbooking or other crafts.

3 Frames

I'm sharing these three frames today.
I just cut them out of a rectangular shape with the funkie edge (they kind of look cut with edge scissors), and using the Rectangular Marquee tool I took out the inside of the frame, that way you can position your picture behind (under) the frame. They remind me of the old polaroid frames. Maybe I'll do this again with a straight edge.
I used the Horizontal Type Mask took and Wide Latin font to erase each phrase in each frame.
After that I added a simple bevel.

Beautiful Baby

I designed this stamp with the phrase Beautiful Baby in it.
I used Jeepney and LD Quill fonts.
I typed 'beautiful' and then I clicked on 'create warped text,' while still using the Text tool. I chose the 'arch' style and went all the way to 95%. Then I added the heart to one end of the phrase. I then chose both layers and merged them.
Then I duplicated the new layer formed. I clicked on the top layer and waited until the arrow turned curved, to turn the phrase around, until I had formed a circle. I then merged the layers again, after making sure I had a nice circle.
Then I added the word 'baby.'
I used different styles to give variety to this freebie.

Take a Look at This

This one was very easy to make.
You need the arrow shape, any shape will do.
I used the Kabel font and typed 'take a' outside of the arrow, then changed the type tool to Horizontal Mask and typed inside of the shape 'look at this,' then did Control + X and took out the letters from the shape.
I simplified both layers. Then I control click on both layers and did Control + E and merged them. Then I applied a water style to the whole thing.
It looks cool for any beach or pool project.

Bubbles

I'm publishing a set of bubble talk today. Three are spoken, and one reflects a thought. We always want some bubble talk to go with our pictures sometimes.

All I did is use a bubble shape, Kirsten font and an acrylic style.
This is a .zip file, with four .png files inside.

Picture Stack

I made this picture stack for you to use anyway you want.
If you want to make one of your own, here it goes:
Open a new document. I went with US paper. Then click on U to open the rectangle tool, and set the dimensions as 3.25 width, 2.25 height. Click anywhere in the document and a shape will show up. If your default foreground/background colors are white/black, the rectangle should be white. In the layers area, click on this shape and simplify it.
Go back to the rectangle tool. Click x to invert the white/black colors in the colors window. Set the size to 3 width and 2 height. Click on the white rectangle and a black one will show up. Center it. In the layers palette control click on the two layers and then Control E and they'll be merged. Make as many copies as you want of this one, changing its shape a bit as you want and position them on your document the way you want it.
Save the PSD file so you can use it again.

This is a PSD file. To use it, you open the pictures you want to put on the stack. Since each one is in its own layer, just position each picture above each shape. Then start playing with the controls of the move tool, until your picture covers the black area. You can merge each picture onto the picture shape, your choice. Just remember to save it with a different name.

I'm continuing to add to the month collection.
This one just kept changing while I was designing it. I started out with a different picture background and then I exchanged it for the one you see now.
I added starbursts to the background and set the layer mode to overlay, that way it looks soft, barely visible.
I added another layer and put a heart brush matching the red of the flag in it, and set the blending mode to overlay. I also moved the brush, so the heart looks a bit off center.
After I added another layer, I typed the phrase 'JULY' using The American Flag font, and applied an acrylic style on it.
I finally added another layer and used a curly frame in white to frame the whole thing. I set the blending mode to 'soft light.'

Two Florals and a Butterfly

I have two different floral designs and a sweet butterfly today.
To use shapes and then give them more than a monochromatic look what you do is double or triple your shape and then get to work. Name the different layers what they will be. For example I used three layers in one of the designs: flower, branches and pistil. That way you erase what you won't need in that particular layer and then apply the style that you prefer the best.
I did it on both the floral designs, and left the butterfly on one single layer.
