Hi! My name is Patricia Gardner and I'm an older stay-at-home Mom.
I have a missionary son, Elder Kimball Gardner, and a 12yo daughter, who just moved up from Primary to Young Women. Time flies.
Our family, as you can figure it out, is LDS, or Mormon, as some people call us.
I was born and raised in Argentina, but the Lord had a different plan for me, because He sent my husband as a missionary down there. After Kevin came home from his mission we started to write to each other (no texting, IMing or emails back then). Once a month he would call and we could talk for maybe one hour, since rates were high.
At some point he invited me to come up and visit. When I did, we got engaged and I had to go back, since I couldn't stay as an illegal. We did all the paper work needed (the story of our lives), he got a fiancee visa for me and I came back after a 13 month engagement and we were finally sealed in the Salt Lake temple. That was August 1987, an eternity ago. Actually I can't believe it's our 25th Anniversary this year.

Hi Patricia, I really like your use of Miss font with Occidental. I am looking for a script font to use with Occidental for my website 916skin.com. Occidental font will be my company name, futura light will be the text, and the script font on my home page will be a caption/quote. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteHi Tatja! A popular font for quotes and whatnot is Carlotta, but sometimes is hard to read because it runs all together and it's a bit flat. Honey Script is pretty, a bit narrow, but if you stretch it out it looks good.The LDs are great (Licorice, Modern Cursive, Shelly Script), but Lettering Delights might have a problem with people using their fonts, unless you pay the commercial fee. Another delicate font is Quilline Script Thin. These are all beautiful and will work well with Occidental. If you find another one I may not have, let me know and I'll chase after it.
